I find the 1.5 volt requirement more difficult to resolve than the 90 volt one. One reason being that the filaments are also the cathodes on these valves, and therefore the supply has to be very smooth, and some 50Hz buzz seems to be almost inevitable. The 90 volts is easier, if you can find a transformer with a reasonable tapping. A lower voltage can be stepped up using a diode pump circuit, but that tends to make any mains ripple worse.
