Waving over Heather (Original Song)

Waving over Heather

There she walks over the field
Without touching the ground
She sings a melody
A cast spell or the sound
Of her soul, she recalls and sings:

I wrote the lyrics of the song and captured the melody almost a year ago, the original working title was "waving over bluebells" as bluebells bloom in April. Yet, when I filmed the footage it was August, and normally I look for harebells (summer bluebells) in the heather (they like to come together). Yet, waving over heather makes perfect sense.
There is a famous area in Northern Germany for heather (Lüneburger Heide). I went there to check out some stone circles, monoliths and Stone Age graves which always fascinate me. Some of it is in the video.
It's again a song about soul bonds going beyond time and space. My life story is deeply involved with that topic. It appears in many of my friendships and my romantic life. Cynical people would call that being a hopeless romantic, but I know it's a spiritual fact that is sometimes hard to live by. And I believe that if we don't do justice to bonds that souls become ghosts that haunt us. The last year was a major testing and in many ways heart breaking and shattering, but our souls know the way if we listen. We are a network of light after all, and souls remind us of that!
