In this video I describe how my 2011 Mercedes ML300 had an issue with the Boot Trunk Latch failing and thus not allowing my boot to open or close properly.

I have now create a new video which is a "Complete DIY Guide" it is here:
• How to Install / Replace a Failed Rear Tai...
** Update 9 Aug 2021
In this video I show you how to fix the problem cheaply use an Autopa part, however the Autopa part failed just outside of the 12 Month Warranty and Autopa would not replace it. As a result my recommendation is to now use the following part:
Amazon (US and General): https://amzn.to/3XjyZrY
Amazon (Australia): https://amzn.to/3CtvnKP
The problem first became apparent that I could not open the boot and we had to use the emergency latch from inside the car to open the boot, however when it was closed I realised that the boot was not fully closed because a alert was on the dashboard indicating that the boot was not closed.
You too can DIY and save the cash!
