Memories of the Georgian-Abkhazian conflict: Tatuli's story

Tatuli recounts her childhood experiences as a Georgian refugee during the Georgian-Abkhazian conflict and tells us how the war impacted families. She reflects on how her friendship with an Abkhaz girl helped her to overcome prejudices and stereotypes and describes her father's ongoing struggle with unresolved war trauma.
Tatuli also shares how hearing an Abkhaz mother’s story during our workshops helped her break the cycle of generational trauma.
