This one doesn't need much introduction. Ambrose's was simply one of the biggest dance bands of its kind in Britain, beginning in the 20s and remaining a household name for two decades, when many of his band members lent their services to the Squadronaires for the war effort! The song choices are very nice indeed; nothing hot, but a pleasant enough slow-fox and waltz. Most people here may have heard "Try A Little Tenderness" performed by Sinatra - it enjoyed real popularity spanning multiple decades! In fact, this recording was made on January 3, 1933 at London's Mayfair hotel. I found this one in Oldham back in August, and while it wasn't the most insane thing in the lot, I have found myself throwing it on the machine constantly since then!
