Why Goto Ryuji is Labeled a Fraud by the Solo Leveling Community

In season 2 episode 10 of Solo Leveling we see Jin Woo face off against Goto Ryuji. We get to see a little bit of Goto’s strength.

Goto Ryuji is often labeled as a fraud. Let me explain with spoilers. We know that Goto Ryuji is the strongest hunter in Japan and that he is the leader of the Draw Sword Guild that possesses 11 s-ranks. He is even able to realize that there was more to Jin Woo’s strength after first seeing him. He is a very strong hunter but he overestimates his abilities because of his ego. Goto is labeled as a potential rival to Liu Zhigang and aspires to be a national level hunter. However, I do not think that he is even close to that level as he was significantly weaker than Jin Woo during their sparring match and got two hit by the Ant King. Which is why…
