At this time of year, look out for leaping salmon as they journey upstream. Unfortunately due to current Covid-19 restrictions, our partner Forth Rivers Trust was unable to run the autumn wild salmon watch walk to the Falls of Leny. Instead they have created a short video of the walk so that people who maybe can't get out due to current restrictions can still be involved. The walk starts in Callander and heads along cycle path NCN Route 7 to the Falls of Leny, a great location for trying to spot fish leaping at the falls.
We have also created a leaflet which has some information about the walk, when is best to see the fish attempting the falls and how to stay safe when watching wild salmon. It also includes a map showing the route to the Falls of Leny. Why not download the leaflet and head out for a wander to view the falls and hopefully spot fish leaping. You can download the leaflet here:

Unfortunately on the day we visited the falls to make the video we were unsuccessful seeing any fish leaping but we did include some footage of fish we managed to capture underwater previously. Let us know how you get on if you visit the falls and use the hashtag #wildsalmonwatch.
