Telesat ($TSAT) Signs Agreement with SpaceX to Launch Lightspeed Satellites into Orbit

Telesat (NASDAQ: TSAT), a prominent satellite operator that offers communication solutions, and SpaceX have announced a comprehensive agreement for multiple launches aimed at placing the Telesat Lightspeed constellation into Low Earth Orbit (LEO).

Telesat has partnered with SpaceX for 14 launches using the Falcon 9 rocket to deploy up to 18 Telesat Lightspeed satellites in Low Earth Orbit. The campaign begins in 2026, with SpaceX's frequent launches facilitating rapid deployment for global services by 2027. Telesat Lightspeed offers secure, high-speed broadband connectivity globally through optical technology. With MDA as the primary manufacturer and all necessary launch contracts secured, Telesat aims to deliver top-tier connectivity by late 2027.
