If you like to see big trees, or what is left of them, then Kings Canyon is the place for you. Unfortunately, logging started in the 1860s and continued into the late 1800s. Most of the giant sequoias were cut down. Today, the area is full of the big stumps loggers left behind as a monument of human stupidity. The same thing is repeated today with the rain forest all over the world.
