Dr. John Dang, DC demonstrating a dynamic Scar mobilization technique using Graston Instruments on a patient with a trans-tubercular abdominal scar from a breast reconstruction surgery post mastectomy. The patient presented with marked restriction of spinal extension and hip extension due to fibrotic tissue (scar tissue) that is residual from the surgery approx 1.5 years ago. There was a total of 10 treatment sessions done over a period of approx 6 months. The patient reported noticeable changes to the texture, pliability, and mobility of her scar. Most importantly, she felt increased range of motion in spinal extension as well as hip extension. Coupled with exercises and spinal adjustments where indicated, the patient reported improvements to her sleep, daily activities, and even energy levels.
Another amazing positive outcome using Graston Technique!
