Are Chinese Women REALLY LEFT OVER?

Despite being quite a common thing in many other countries, failing to marry and start a family beyond 25 stigmatizes many Chinese women who may not be in a hurry to accomplish these personal benchmarks, despite the urging of society and their families.

In larger cities like Shenzhen or Beijing, many parents try to play matchmaker for their unwed daughters, either by arranging dates with the unmarried sons of their friends or by posting their daughters photos and information in marriage markets that take place in city squares. Seeking to take matters into their own hands, more Chinese women are now avoiding the parental marriage market in favor of international dating with foreign men.
