Why Smugglers’ Notch is the best resort for families

If you are looking for a family-friendly destination that combines fun, affordability and comfortable amenities, Smugglers’ Notch is the place to be.
We absolutely love this low-key resort (and we don’t even own a time share there!). It’s very classy and traditional with old school charm and the nicest people.
So many reasons we love Smuggs!!!
Love that they have 3 mountains with 1 entire mountain dedicated to beginner/novice skiers and 2 mountains to more intermediate/advanced skiers. That means that I can ski with my younger children throughout various slopes and not be worried about suddenly going down more challenging terrain. The variety is excellent and the kids were never bored.
It’s not crazy busy, lines are very reasonable, which means we can get lots of runs in.
The absolutely BEST part if you have children - THE AMAZING SKI SCHOOL! Our kids learned to ski there - they challenge the kids in a very supportive environment and I cannot say enough great things about their programs for children! Last year our kids took lessons at the renowned Aspen Snowmass and Smuggler’s Notch school is way better!
They have tons of other activities as well along with pools and a FUN Zone for children with bouncy houses, slides, climbing wall and a huge play area.
