Sammie was a baby sparrow, found on Day One of its life, with no nest in the area, and no adults feeding it. We had to spring into action, keep it warm, fed, and socialized. From the beginning, we would bring this bird outside to experience the outside (supervised), and kept it indoors to be safe, in an open cage.
Photography and video by Mike Franzman document the growth, training, and interaction.
After 97 days, Sammie stopped returning, after staying out longer and longer.
