Hi, I'm Sifu Jen San, the Barefoot Doctor and the Spiritual Light Warrior. In this video, I'm excited to share with you one of the most famous Yao Kung Mun Tai Chi forms: the Yau Kung Sup Baht Serng Toi Jerng, which stands for the 18 low hands pushing techniques.
I'll start by teaching you the basics and gradually delve into more detailed aspects of the form. We'll cover everything from the initial neutral position to the breathing techniques and the various hand movements. This form is intricate and can take anywhere from 20 to 30 minutes to perform in its entirety.
Here's a breakdown of what you'll learn in this video:
1. Starting in the neutral position and practicing breathing techniques.
2. Sinking into the Supporting Earth position.
3. Lifting and stepping techniques.
4. The Candle technique and its application.
5. The Double Hand Pushing technique.
6. The Seesaw action for balance and power.
7. Forming the triangle and executing the chop.
I’ll also demonstrate how to apply these techniques in practical scenarios, such as defending against a punch or neutralizing an attacker. It's important to practice these movements with care and respect for your partner to avoid injury.
Stay tuned for more lessons on the Tai Chi of Yao Kung Mun. There are many more movements and techniques to explore, and I look forward to sharing them with you. Enjoy the journey and keep practicing!
