The Lura park is a local park established for the protection and enhancement of the valley of the Lura stream in the stretch that extends from Cassina Rizzardi to Lainate. The municipalities participating in the consortium for this beautiful park are: Bregnano, Cadorago, Caronno Pertusella, Cassina Rizzardi, Cermenate, Garbagante Milanese, Guanzate, Lainate, Lomazzo, Rovellasca, Rovello Porro and Saronno. The Lura park crosses the high plain of Lombardy from north to south, between Bassa Comasca, Saronnese and northern Milan. The park almost always begins on the outer limit of the inhabited centers crossed by the stream, guaranteeing the environmental protection of the non-urbanized areas. The Lura Valley, although not characterized by particular biotopes, retains a habitat of moderate overall quality with a fairly preserved agro-natural landscape. The park includes a characteristic environment of the Lombard plains. The woods are mainly made up of English oaks and locust trees. About half of the park is planted with cereals or covered by grassland.

In particular, almost 40 km of cycle and pedestrian paths have been created, divided into three itineraries:

itinerary no. 1 runs for 26 kilometers from north to south and connects the hills of Bulgarograsso with the Villoresi canal. The route is part of the regional strategic network and has an international value as a segment of the "Eurovelo n. 5" itinerary, also called via dei Pellegrini and allows you to connect Northern Europe with Rome.

itinerary no. 2 leads from Caslino al Piano to Cermenate crossing the Lura torrent at the Ponte del Giuseppe near Bulgorello.

itinerary no. 3 connects Guanzate with Bulgarograsso crossing agricultural and wooded areas. The route ends at the border of Lurate Caccivio, where the Sorgenti park of the Lura stream begins.

Il parco del Lura è un parco locale di interesse sovracomunale istituito per la tutela e la valorizzazione della valle del torrente Lura nel tratto che da Cassina Rizzardi si estende fino a Lainate. I comuni aderenti al consorzio sono: Bregnano, Cadorago, Caronno Pertusella, Cassina Rizzardi, Cermenate, Garbagante Milanese, Guanzate, Lainate, Lomazzo, Rovellasca, Rovello Porro e Saronno. Il parco del Lura attraversa da Nord a Sud l'alta pianura lombarda, fra Bassa Comasca, Saronnese e Nord Milano. Il parco inizia quasi sempre sul limite esterno dei centri abitati attraversati dal torrente garantendo la tutela ambientale delle aree non urbanizzate. La Valle del Lura, pur non essendo contraddistinta da particolari biotopi, conserva un habitat di discreta qualità complessiva con un paesaggio agro-naturale abbastanza conservato. Il parco comprende un ambiente caratteristico dei pianalti lombardi. I boschi sono formati principalmente da farnie e robinie. Circa metà del parco è coltivata a cereali o coperta da prati.

In particolare sono stati realizzati quasi 40 km di percorsi ciclopedonali, suddivisi in tre itinerari:

l'itinerario n. 1 corre per 26 chilometri da Nord a Sud e collega le colline di Bulgarograsso con l'alzaia del Canale Villoresi. Il percorso s'inserisce nella rete strategica regionale e ha un valore internazionale come segmento dell'itinerario "Eurovelo n. 5", chiamato anche via dei Pellegrini e permette di collegare il Nord Europa con Roma.

l'itinerario n. 2 conduce da Caslino al Piano fino a Cermenate attraversando il torrente Lura al Ponte del Giuseppe nei pressi di Bulgorello.

l'itinerario n. 3 collega Guanzate con Bulgarograsso attraversando aree agricole e boschive. Il percorso termina al confine di Lurate Caccivio, dove ha inizio il parco Sorgenti del torrente Lura.
