ENGLAND HISTORIC PARK
After World War I, when the local government was building public housing, Mr. Wicksteed decided to create a park with recreational facilities for local residents, including food and drink, as well as attractions.

Wicksteed Park, in Kettering, Northamptonshire, is one of the oldest urban parks in England with amusement rides, founded in 1921 by Charles Wicksteed.
Managed by the Wicksteed Charitable Trust, the park offers over 25 amusement rides, 281 acres of parkland, playgrounds, and walking trails, suitable for all ages.
During World War II, the park remained partially open, allowing American troops to be stationed in a pavilion.
