A few months ago I had my transmission out while doing a clutch, which was a perfect time to drill into my frame to add the frame tubes. Drilling them in straight is a crucial step in the process and in this video I go over how that is achieved; by using a hole saw and a 1” OD pipe to make sure the frame tubes sit straight inside the frame.
The shock hoops are less important to get right but still a crucial component of on road drivability. Making sure both sides are identical is important in doing so.
As well as pushing the frame tubes as far forward as they can go, I still did not get the shackle angle k was after with the front hanger flush with the frame. With that I pushed it back 1/2” to get my desired shackle angle.
