You asked about my use of a controller on my 150 gallon tank. In that tank I'm using a heavy duty controller from www.jehmco.com which is a provider of a vast array of aquarium and pond products.
Should you use a controller? For that matter, should you use a heaters at all? Let's talk about it here!
