Barbara Schauß
Germany
"For me, figurative and abstract paintings are synonymous. When I look at my work, I have to say: That's it!"
Barbara Schauß is an established German painter whose works have been exhibited in regional and national shows. Her love for art began in her childhood when she discovered her world-renowned father's painting books. Inspired by the Impressionist movement, Schauß was deeply moved after seeing Monet's "Fields in Spring" and its famous water lilies. She also experiments with abstract painting, both in oil and acrylic. Schauß is constrained by color and aims to represent an overall atmosphere, harmonious or discordant, through her work.
