Understanding Lesbian, Bisexual and Queer Women’s Experiences of Alcohol, Substance use and Health

Presentation: ‘Understanding Lesbian, Bisexual and Queer Women’s Experiences of Alcohol, Substance use and Health: The UnLEASH online cohort’ by Dr. Sonja Memedovic (UNSW) and A/Prof Julie Mooney-Somers (The University of Sydney).

It is a replay from a session at the LGBTIQ Women’s Health Conference, held 4 November 2021 by ACON and Thorne Harbor Health. It is being uploaded with consent as part of a series of talks NADA is encouraging viewers to check out for International Women’s Day 2022, which are focused on women’s health and AOD use.

As host Mamo Alto says, the presentation explores, ‘lesbian, bisexual and queer women’s health and wellbeing, and relationship with smoking drinking, and drug use’. The talk explores new research in this field.
