Cruise to BUSAN: What to Do in One Day! Temples and Towers! (for first-timers) Ep. 4

In this episode, we finally arrived at our first originally scheduled port of this cruise itinerary around southern #Japan onboard #diamondprincess . We spend the day in #busan #southkorea !

If you're visiting Busan, here's some places you need to know about!

From the Port of Busan we head to a temple by the sea. Haedong Yonggung Temple is a Buddhist temple in Gijang-gun, Busan, South Korea. The temple claims it was first built in 1376. The fantastic views on the coast were spectacular weather standing in front of the temple or after climbing 108 stairs where it got even better!

X the Sky has a breathtaking observatory located on the 100th floor of South Korea's second-tallest skyscraper in Busan. Offering panoramic views of the city, ocean, and surrounding mountains, it’s an unforgettable experience for visitors. The glass-bottom walkways and floor-to-ceiling windows provide an exhilarating perspective, perfect for those seeking adventure or awe-inspiring scenery. We were then off to the international market- Gukje Market!

Following the Korean War, refugees who fled to Busan set up stalls in order to make a living by selling smuggled or imported products, which developed into Gukje Market (gukje meaning "international" in Korean) of today. Gukje Market is one of Korea’s largest markets. The market's alleyways are lined with stalls selling diverse goods, particularly machinery tools, kitchenware, and clothing. To the market's right is an alleyway lined with charity stores, and to the left is Kkangtong Market.
