Corbyn's Cove beach is just 8 kilometers from the City center, and a prominent sightseeing place in andaman. With pleasant blue sea water and lush green coconut palms, the beach allows visitors to relax alongside and enjoy several water sports available on the shore of the beach. Some of the water activities that one can undertake and enjoy over a visit to Corbyn's Cove Beach include scuba diving, surfing, and boating. Further, the beach is also a perfect location for taking pleasure of sunbathing, swimming and surfing. This coconut palm fringed beach is surrounded with a hotel and small offering refreshments and food. From here, tourists can also visit the Snake Island, which claims to have a lot of deadly snakes. The snake island is also known for colourful corals, mesmerizing fishes and rock faces. One can take a motorboat to land at this island.

#Corbynscovebeach is the most visited beach of Port Blair. In fact, according to a 2017 survey by Eternal Andamans, it is evident that 7 out of 10 people visit the beach on their trip to the isles. Needless to say the place lives up to its name by offering one of the most ecstatic sceneries in the islands.

Corbyns cove beach has one of the longest constructed shorelines in Port Blair shaped in a crescent way that stretches up to 1.5 Km in length, with a fairly wide area open on both sides.

The water here is fairly clear and comes with just the right amount of waves for a perfect swim.

Absence of underwater reefs and the right amount of sand stiffness makes sure your feet are safe from cuts and sea creatures during your swim.

The beach is divided into 2 parts in width, one for relaxation and the other for swimmers, which also acts as a wall in times of a high tide. It has abundance of coconut trees that provide the feel of tropical relaxation.

The beach also has sleep benches which really comes in handy if you are looking to relax at the shore after a tiring day.

Travelers usually take a walk from the right side of the beach to the left. The right side doesn’t have any shops or water vendors, so it’s better to start from there and walk towards the left end so you can find something to eat and relax after your small beach trek.

The beach itself has restaurant and hotel which offers delicious seafood dishes and refreshing drinks so you can indulge your taste buds in amazement.

On the right side of the beach is an open area, shaded by tall coconut trees which are perfect for a picnic with your family.

A small visit past the bunker and you can walk down a narrow path to the reefs where lies another bunker that offers a great view of the Snake Island and is a perfect place to experience mildly fierce tropical winds with small showers of sea water that refreshes your mind. The small snake island is clearly visible from here.

Walking further right down the beach you can find and abundance of large fishing boats which further leads down to dense mangrove forests.

Overall, its is one of the best beaches you can visit in Port Blair and we do recommend a trip here.

1. Jet Ski Ride:

The most readily available water sport in every tourist destination that has a sea, Jet Ski Rides are safe, popular, and have a fair amount of thrill with them. The activity can be easily booked at the Corbyn’s cove beach when you reach there; the booking stall is kept near the left gate of the beach.



The ride is made thrilling by the waves at the Corbyn Beach, the tides are relatively high when compared to other beaches in Port Blair which lets you fly above the water and dive through it in return.

However, you will always be accompanied by a trained jet skier to keep you safe, which makes this a preferred activity for both adults and children.

2. Speed Boat Ride:

Just as the name suggests, Speed Boat Rides takes you on a journey to the nearby seas surrounding the beach in a fast boat. This activity can be done in groups of four, and can be a thrilling experience depending on the vendor.
