The Marion E. Wade Center and the Conservatory of Music at Wheaton College present “A Timbered Choir: The Witness of Creation”—an evening of music, poetry, and art inspired by J.R.R. Tolkien’s and Wendell Berry’s love of creation and visions of stewardship—on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at 7:30 PM.
The evening features the world premiere of “A Timbered Choir,” composed by Joshua Rodriguez with words by Wendell Berry*, performed by the Wheaton College Concert Choir under the direction of John William Trotter, and accompanied by reflections from Kristen Page, Tiffany Kriner, and Joel Sheesley.
This event was co-sponsored by the Muriel Fuller Endowment for the Imagination & the Arts and the Stanley W. and Jeannette A. Bakke Endowment for Intellectual & Imaginative Engagement.
