En "Morph" Tyler expresa el claro miedo de enfrentarse con la muerte y el temor con que pasará después de ella.

*"arriba" "debajo" y "alrededor": para enfrentar a la muerte se nos ofrecen tres caminos, que son los que acabamos de mencionar.

Arriba: ir por arriba de la muerte es como poner nuestra fé en un ser superior y creer que habrá vida después de que todo haya pasado.
Debajo: ir por debajo de la muerte, al igual que la anterior, está basado en la fé, y consiste en crear algun tipo de pacto oscuro para lograr la inmortalidad, pudiendo ser este el "camino fácil".
Alrededor: rodear a la muerte, como bien lo dice Tyler en la canción, se puede con ayuda de la ciencia y la medicina para así retardar la muerte, sin embargo no todo es tan fácil, puede ser incluso el camino más difícil.

*mi modo de mecanismo de defensa: como Tyler ha dicho, en este álbum él es un buitre, un león, y tiene un chita
El mecanismo de defensa de Tyler es "transformarse" a sí mismo como una forma de disociación; tal vez en diferentes personalidades (por ejemplo, el carácter de Blurryface), o formas de animales como un buitre o león con poderes sobrenaturales que lo hacen ser más fuerte de lo que es normalmente.

*Nicholas Bourbaki: o también conocido como Nico, es el nombre completo del infame Obispo de Dema, presentado por nombre en el sitio web dmaorg.info y el sencillo "Nico and the Niners".

*unos y ceros: se refiere a la "escritura tecnológica," el código binario. Un código binario representa texto, instrucciones del procesador de la computadora o cualquier otro dato utilizando un sistema de dos símbolos. Tyler pregunta si alguien puede entenderlo. ¿Acaso el clique se tomará el tiempo para descifrar lo que está tratando de decir el peloncito?
