WA museum sparks outrage after acquiring perspex of ‘vandalised’ artwork

Sky News host James Macpherson says the Western Australian Museum has acquired the “vandalised perspex screen” of a legendary artwork defaced by climate activists.
Back in January 2023, Frederick McCubbin’s 'Down on His Luck’ was attacked by climate protesters – spray painting the Woodside oil company’s logo on the perspex glass that was protecting the painting.
“The vandal now says the museum’s decision to regard her vandalism as historic means her actions were legitimate,” Mr Macpherson said.
