After using my Roubo work holding station for over a decade I decided it was time to upgrade the roubo vise mechanism. I was done with the pin-locking system, which did not facilitate small adjustments. Plus I didn't want to stoop over anymore. As you know I'm anti-stooping.
This modification was based on the Roubo vise that I showed in my Table Saw Upgrade Series.
ROUBO VISE DETAILS: An important feature of the Roubo Vise is the beam system that keeps the vise parallel. This keeps it from binding when you are adjusting the vise. Most Roubo Vises have a pin and lock beam system. That’s what I originally had on my work station but I decided to change to a threaded screw with a star wheel nut. This makes it easy to adjust with your foot, have continuous fine adjustments, and not bend over.
