DayZ is a hardcore open-world survival game developed by Bohemia Interactive, focused on realism, player interaction, and unforgiving survival mechanics.

The game takes place in a vast, post-apocalyptic landscape (most famously Chernarus), where a mysterious infection has turned much of the population into aggressive infected. The world is open, persistent, and shared with other players.

You start with almost nothing and must:
Search for food, water, weapons, clothing, and medical supplies
Manage hunger, thirst, blood loss, illness, and temperature
Craft items and repair gear using scavenged materials
Death is permanent — when you die, you lose everything and start over.

Other players are the greatest danger — they may help you, rob you, or kill you on sight
Combat includes melee fighting, firearms with realistic ballistics, and limited ammunition
