In this video, you will get to see our travel experience at Bhatinda Waterfall, Topchanchi Lake, and Maithon Dam. We started from Kolkata for a day trip to Dhanbad. We took the Howrah Dhanbad Black Diamond express to reach Dhanbad. From Dhanbad Junction, we took a car and visited Topchanchi Lake and then Bhatinda waterfall, and finally Maithon Dam and Kalyaneswari Matar Mandir.
বড় কোনও ছুটির দরকার নেই । হাতে শুধুই একটা রবিবার কিংবা 2টি ছুটির দিন থাকলেই যথেষ্ট । সকাল বেলা Black Diamond Express ধরে চলে আসুন ধানবাদ। সেই দিন টা একটা হোটেলে থাকুন। পরের দিনই খুব সকাল সকাল একটা গাড়ি ভাড়া নিয়ে প্রথমে যান Topchanchi lake।লেক দেখে রাস্তার পাশে কোন ভালো রেস্টুরেন্টে breakfast করে চলে আসুন Bhatinda Falls দেখতে। জলপ্রপাত দেখার পর চলে আসুন মাইথন ড্যাম এ। ওখানে Lunch করে boting এর মজা নিন। তারপর চলে আসুন খুব কাছেই কল্যানেশ্বরী মন্দির দেখতে। মন্দির দেখে ফিরে আসুন ধানবাদ স্টেশনে ফেরার ট্রেন ধরতে। আবার আপনি হাওড়া থেকে বিকেলের Coal field express ধরে চলে আসুন ধানবাদ। রাত্রিবেলা কোন হোটেলে বা Rail এর retiring room এ থাকুন। A.C room available. তারপর এক‌ই রুট। খু‌ব কম খরচে আপনার মন ভরে যাবে এটুকু বলতে পারি ।

Topchanchi Lake is an interesting tourist spot in the Dhanbad district of Jharkhand. Situated on National Highway 2, it is located at the Golden Quadrilateral. Dhanbad Railway Station is 37 km from the lake and Bokaro is 41 km. Though the lake is an artificial one, it's green surrounding amidst forests and hills makes it an ideal picnic spot. It is also in demand for a sound and serene vacations. It covers a total area of 214 acres. Parasnath Hills being located close by makes the tourists visit the lake at the same time.

Topchanchi Lake is basically a stream that is dammed like a reservoir to supply water to the district and its suburban areas. Topchanchi Wildlife Sanctuary is spread over 8.75 sq km. The area is small enough yet few harmless animals reside here. The area surrounding the lake is also seeked by religious people, specially Jains and Hindus.
Bhatinda Fall is located just 14 km away from Dhanbad railway station. The waterfalls make a perfect picnic spot for many. It is nestled amongst the greenery and the rugged hillocks. It provides a captivating sight for nature lovers. The falls are lined by huge rocky boulders. The cascading waterfalls instill a sense of serenity and a melancholic charm. This place gives the opportunity to

Maithon, derived its name from “Mai Ka Sthan”, meaning the place for the Hindu Goddess Maa Kalyaneshwari. It is located on the banks

of river Barakar. The Maithon Dam is located about 48 kms from the Coal City of Dhanbad. The dam with an underground power station is

one of its kinds in the whole of South East Asia. The lake on which it is built is spread over 65 square kilometers. This was

developed by the Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC Ltd) way back in the year 1948. The dam is about 15712 ft long and about 165 ft long.

The underground power station has a capacity to generate around 60,000 KW of electric power.

The Maithon dam itself is located on a picturesque landscape amidst a beautiful lake and beautiful green forests. You could avail

boating with friends and family on the lake. Apart from that you could even enjoy a walk in the beautiful green forests around the

lake. Watching the sun rise and sunset is delightful for tourists, which you must not miss when you are in Maithon. If you are
