http://www.FTV.com/videos PARIS - We're backstage at the Vivienne Westwood Gold Label show where FTV gets a close up of the beautiful, bright jewelry that's going to be worn by various models in the upcoming Spring/Summer 2012 runway show. Vivienne Westwood herself is putting on her own tights which have holes in them in a unique pattern. The shoes themselves in this collection are high and out of this world, as are various parts of the whole line. Makeup is extravagant and clownish in signature Vivienne Westwood style. Models are (pardon the expression) "clowning around" in full makeup and Yulia Lobova, a Russian model, says hello to FashionTV. Val Garland, makeup artist for the show, gives the lowdown on the model's look, "We've got two looks going on," she says. "One is a kind of Baroque, 18th century, woman in a portrait so its kind of like this demented portrait of an 18th century woman." Lots of colors and very childish. The other look is a sort of warrior mask, she describes. There's a lot of blue in the collection so they use blue on the face, eyebrows, and the lip. It's a very matte blue that looks like velvet. She uses water base paints and powder shadows to create what she calls, "...just a crazy Vivienne Westwood look."
