Dick Van Dyke's return to sitcoms had him playing a talk show host. It was filmed in Carefree Arizona as Dick didn't want to leave AZ to work. After two seasons the show did relocate to Hollywood for a refresh as his character joined the cast of a soap opera. Ratings were good but controversy over a show CBS declined to air caused friction with Carl Reiner and there was no fourth season. The show had two themes, a more leisurely one for the Arizona seasons, and a bouncier tune for season three. Both were by Jack Elliott and Allyn Ferguson.
