World Premiere of "Going Home" by Daniel Pelton performed by Mirabelle Jien (Flute), Vicky Su (Guzheng), and the Calgary Wind Symphony (conducted by Dr. Jeremy Brown)
This concert feels extra special not only because I got to showcase a world premiere of a friend's work, but I got to perform alongside my mom for this double concerto! I remember when Daniel showed us the melodic idea on guitar, before it transformed into this epic double concerto. Always incredible to me how music is created.
Lots of tea was consumed during the process of putting this together.
