Severn Valley Railway Festive Timetable 850th Video!!!!!!!! 5/1/2019

Hello & Welcome to the milestone video of Harnetty Railways

Coming up in the 850th video.

We are at our friends at The Severn Valley Railway during the penultimate day of their Festive Season timetable before they close for winter maintenance.

We start at Bridgnorth looking in the cab of Phil Swallow's ex Southern Railway West Country class bulleid pacific 34027 Taw Valley as the loco awaits the off with the 10.25am departure to Kidderminster the 1st train of the day from Bridgnorth.

On the day of my visit Taw Valley was wearing The Statesman United States Lines Express headboard remembering the days of the boat train on the Southern Region.

We see the arrival of The Erlestoke Manor Funds ex GWR manor 7802 Bradley Manor coming in on a private charter working from Kidderminster.

We join 34027's train for a trip up to Highley were I left the train just enough time to get out & see Taw Valley depart on wards to Kidderminster.

With 34027 Taw Valley gone we have a look inside The Engine House Museum to see some of the locomotives that are awaiting restoration including seeing for the 1st time since she moving in after withdrawal from service 2 years ago was The 4566 Group's ex GWR Small prairie 4566.

We head to the viewing areas of the museum to see the GWR steam fleet in action.

We catch up with 7802 Bradley Manor once again with the private charter working now heading for Kidderminster.

We next see The Pannier Tank Fund's ex GWR 77xx pannier tank 7714 arriving with a north bound train.

This train was originally intended to be hauled by an ex BR class 40 diesel but was not fit to run after the steam heat boiler in the locomotive that supplies heating to the coaches failed & was withdrawn from the Festive timetable.

The next loco we see is now entering her 101st year The 2857 Society's ex GWR 28xx class heavy freight loco 2857 as she arrives & passes with a south bound train.

We head back to the station to rejoin 34027 Taw Valley's train to head back to Bridgnorth.

We next see the bulleid taking on water before rejoining the train ready to form the 14.30pm departure.

We travel behind 34027 Taw Valley all the way to Kidderminster.

The bulleid performed magnificently as Taw Valley heads along the river severn.

Sure enough after a great run we arrive at Kidderminster & the end of the line which is were we end this video.
