On 13 June 1475, Joan of Portugal, former Queen of Castile dies at the age of 36, shortly after the outbreak of the War of the Castilian Succession (1475-1479) between her daughter Joanna and Queen Isabella I of Castile.

'Isabel' is a Spanish TV series about the life of Isabella I, Queen regnant of Castile, one of the most important Spanish monarchs, from her childhood years till her death after 3 decades of ruling.
