E46 M3 oil change with Schwaben Extractor

In this video I use the Schwaben fluid extractor and then empty out the oil pan to see how much oil the extractor did not get.

With the S54 design of having the oil filter on top, there is really no need to get under the car, no more worrying about potentially stripping the oil drain plug in the aluminum oil pan, no spills on the driveway, no need to figure out how to jack up the car (especially if you are lowered), and you can do the entire oil change in about 15 minutes.

Overall the results were great. Very easy and quick to set up and use and then empty out. The extractor did not get about 0.5 quart of oil in the oil pan, however, given that after you pour in new oil, ~90-95% of oil will be fresh, and the fact that the oil pump sends oil through the oil filter first, I would not worry about that.
