Close racing at Bayford Meadows (new karts!)

Round 4 of the Bayford Meadows SuperPro Sprint series and the first such round in the new karts, so I was very keen to see how the racing would be. As it turned out, it was pretty good throughout!

In the first heat I was disappointed to miss out on pole by 0.006s to a lightweight, and unfortunately while I felt I had some more pace he managed to hold off against all my moves. I held off another lightweight behind to start the day with a P2.

Straight into heat two which saw me starting second again as there had been drizzle in qualifying and I didn't get the best of the conditions. Another entertaining race that saw me occupy all positions from second to fifth at various points but I eventually brought it home third with a last lap move.

The third heat was much simpler - start on pole and lead until the victory. For some reason I struggled slightly with a corner for a couple of laps which nearly gave the driver behind a sniff of an attack, but after that I was fairly clear and had a straightforward win.

That took me to winning the middleweights for the day; onto the next round!
