Is this REALLY BLACKPOOL in NOVEMBER?!? | Fleetwood | Lytham St Anne's | Fairhaven

We can't believe how glorious the weather is as we travel to the Fylde coast in November in our Roller Team Auto Roller 707 motorhome, with our two rescue dogs.

We quickly check in to Donkey Creek Farm campsite (look out for a separate tour and review video) and see a Typhoon Eurofighter jet take off from nearby Warton Aerodrome before attempting - and failing - to park for a walk on the promenade or beach in Blackpool itself. Miserable, we keep driving and end up at the Fleetwood Model Yacht Pond, where we're able to park and enjoy a lovely walk along the seafront, with a stunning sunset and some amazing light in the clouds.

The next morning is sunny and blue skied again. We go to Fairhaven Lake to meet friends and have a walk along the beach.

This area is much more vanlife friendly. There's on street parking which is wide enough for motorhomes, as well as motorhome (or campervan) specific bays in some car parks, where you are able to stay overnight for a small fee. Some even have chemical disposal facilities. It should go without saying that any overnighters should please leave no trace (as they appeared to be doing) so these facilities remain and the positive attitude towards vanlife continues.

On our final morning, we park up in the St Anne's North Beach Car park and walk in the much more murky damp cold to Blackpool's South Shore, where I go down memory lane as there's nostalgia from many family holidays held at the Headlands Hotel.
