You left so quickly, my world tilted and spun.
As a drifting breeze stirred this foreign land.
Autumn faded, taking the leaves far away.
Winter coming, the snow garden of memories.
December’s poem lies unfinished, alone.
The sad pines on the hill sigh with pain.
I gather what’s left of this faded life.
Feeling the bitter ache of farewell.
The love song from before still lingers.
Its soft notes echoing across distant skies.
Cold rain falls, shattering into misty tears.
As frost settles over memories of the past.
This longing love lives in quiet sighs.
If only once more you could come my way.
I’d find again each step on our old path.
Time has divided our lane of memories apart.
