The Experience Hendrix band, featuring All Star musicians celebrating the music of Jimi Hendrix, performs Purple Haze featuring Taj Farrant on lead guitar and MC Henry Brown on lead vocal at the Ruth Eckard Hall in Clearwater, Florida on October 17, 2024. Purple Haze was written by Jimi Hendrix and was the opening track (and the second single in the UK) on the North American release of Are You Experienced, The Jimi Hendrix Experience's debut studio album, released in May 1967. It was released as a single in March 1967 in the UK and became one of Jimi's most popular songs.
