A ten-day Bodhichitta Retreat was successfully held in Bodhgaya from 5 - 14 November 2025, under the guidance of Ven. Geshe Dorji Damdul, Director of Tibet House, The Cultural Centre of H.H. the Dalai Lama.
The retreat offered a structured exploration of the Nalanda tradition under the guidance of Geshe-la, leading participants through essential Buddhist teachings such as the purpose of life, Buddha Nature, the Four Noble Truths, emptiness, dependent origination, and non-duality. A key focus was the cultivation of Bodhicitta, with detailed guidance on the two classical methods—the Sevenfold Cause-and-Effect Instruction and Equalizing and Exchanging Self with Others—integrated with reflection and meditation.
Around 100 participants from India and abroad attended the retreat, engaging in study, contemplation, and practice. The program also included visits to the sacred sites of Rajgir, Nalanda, and the holy Mahabodhi Temple, allowing participants to connect directly with the living heritage of the Buddha’s teachings.
