Myanmar has an extensive metre gauge railway network, these days, entirely diesel operated. However, the railway has kept a stock of steam locomotives, although only a handful are steamable. This selection shows our first day in the country with a reproduction sugar cane train being hauled by 2-8-2 number YD967 on a branch out of Pyinmana.
