Welcome to week #116 in this series, and today we commence an examination of the fifth method of attacking within ‘Chi Sau’ practice with the use of the ‘Seung Gaan Sau’ (雙耕手 “Double Gaan Sau”) action. We have looked at this technique in previous segments, most recently as a means of moving in on a non-committed opponent, and this technique also appears many times in the ‘Muk Yan Jong’ (木人樁 “Wooden Dummy”) form. Within ‘Chi Sau’ training, it provides yet another means of redirecting our training partners arms so as to be able to attack from an unexpected angle, controlling & striking simultaneously whilst disrupting balance & structure. Whilst not the strongest or even safest of entry techniques, the ‘Seung Gaan Sau’ provides yet another means by which we can instigate our offensive actions within ‘Chi Sau’ & eventually, ‘Gwoh Sau’ training. More on this topic next Sunday, so look forward to having you join us here again then!😊👍👊🙏❤️🇲🇾 #wslvingtsuncombatsciencemalaysia #wongshunleunglineage #vingtsunkungfu #wslvingtsunkuenhok #wongshunleung #wslvingtsun #wingchunkungfu #wongshunleungfamily #wingchun #wongshunleungstudentsassociation
