PTS200 review

Detailed and candid review of the PTS200 (aka PTS-200) soldering iron including temperature accuracy and power measurements.

Power scales with the square of voltage so the measured power was a little on the low side. You would expect a 100W/20V element to produce more like 56W at 15V. It's more like they designed the heater to produce 100W at 24V. Accuracy was not great before calibration. I still think this is a great product.
