香港是開展歷史研究的理想之地，其獨特的歷史背景與城市魅力，源自於中西文化、不同種族的深度交融，形成多元文化社會。

重視歷史傳承，解釋過去，了解現在，證明香港歷來與內地有着密不可分的關係。《香港志》正好記錄本地的歷史沿革、風土人情、山川文物等等，達致「存史、資政、育人」的功能。團結香港基金於2019年正式成立香港地方志中心，承擔編纂《香港志》的使命，留存珍貴的文化資產，把香港7,000年的歷史故事推廣全球。

Hong Kong is an ideal place for historical research. With its unique historical background and Chinese and Western cultures are deeply intertwined, creating a multicultural society.

Valuing our history, interpreting the past and understanding the present. Hong Kong has always been closely intertwined with the development of our country.

Hong Kong Chronicles precisely documents the Hong Kong's history and development, geographical features, cultural, etc. for tracing, transcribing, and preserving historical information. In 2019, Our Hong Kong Foundation established Hong Kong Chronicles Institute to undertake the unprecedented task of compiling the Hong Kong Chronicles series and share the 7,000-year history of Hong Kong with the world.

Our Hong Kong Foundation has produced a special programme, “Konnecting the World”, on its 10th anniversary to explore new positions of Hong Kong in today’s new era with leaders from all walks of life. From Hong Kong, connecting the world.
