How the US Army is Preparing for WW3

WW3 won’t resemble anything we’ve seen before. With peer adversaries like China and Russia developing advanced military capabilities, the US Army has had to rethink, redesign, and radically transform itself to prepare for the next major war. Gone are the days of traditional battlefields and conventional tactics—today’s Army is equipped for multi domain operations (MDO), with the establishment of multi-domain task forces designed to counter emerging threats. This new military strategy enables the Army to operate across multiple domains, including land, air, sea, space, and cyber, to achieve full spectrum operations.
The US Army’s transformation isn’t just about reorganizing units or shifting strategic focus. At the heart of it lies the Army's heavy investment in modernization efforts and advanced technologies.
The US Army Futures Command is driving innovation in areas such as long-range precision fires, with the development of the Army's precision strike missile and the Typhon missile system. Next-generation combat vehicles, like the M10 Booker and the XM30 infantry combat vehicle, are also being developed to provide enhanced mobility and lethality on the battlefield. The V-280 Valor, a next-generation tiltrotor aircraft, is another example of the Army's commitment to modernization. In addition, the Army is investing in the development of advanced air defense systems, such as the M-SHORAD system, to counter the threat of enemy unmanned aerial vehicles. The Next Generation Squad Weapons program is also underway, aimed at providing infantry units with more lethal and accurate firepower.
