Once again, law and order has come under question in Amritsar, after a shocking firing incident late at night in the Batala Road area. Panic spread across the locality when gunshots were fired inside a jewellery shop, and the entire incident was captured on CCTV footage, which has now surfaced.

According to the CCTV video, two masked youths entered a jewellery shop and started talking about selling a silver chain. When the shopkeeper refused to buy old silver items, one of the youths suddenly pulled out a pistol and fired two rounds inside the shop. Hearing the sound of gunfire, people outside began gathering, following which one of the accused fled the spot, while the other was bravely caught by the shopkeeper.

Fortunately, no one was injured in the firing incident. The shop owner, Vicky Sharma, while speaking to the media, said that his minor nephew was also present in the shop at the time, and the situation could have turned deadly. He stated that both attackers were wearing masks and opened fire without warning, creating fear and chaos.

Vicky Sharma has demanded strict action and justice from the administration. Meanwhile, police officials confirmed that the incident occurred at around 8:15 PM at KK Jewelers, Banke Bihari Gali. One accused has been detained, while the other is absconding, and police teams are actively searching for him.

Police reached the spot immediately and have started an investigation. Further action is being taken based on CCTV footage and other evidence.
