The Motorola Timeport P8767 was the world's first phone with an OLED display. Back then it was simply called OEL or organic electroluminescent and the display was sourced from the pioneer (pun intended) of OEL displays... that's right, Pioneer. They were making bright, vivid displays with area color for their car headunits, so who better to turn to for a new phone display? It also featured an internet minibrowser, an extended capacity Lithium-Ion battery, and you could connect it to your laptop to use it as a modem.
