Client: Hello! I am looking to get an accessibility audit of my company's website done by end of November. It is a large site with many different pages.
What is needed to get a proposal, let me know!
Kris answers a client asking what's needed to get a proposal for an accessibility audit.
We need full access to your digital asset. For a public-facing website, that's just the domain name. For a web app, provide the URL plus any login credentials or test account needed to access pages behind authentication.
If there are pages you don't want included in scope, let us know which ones to exclude. If your app has different personas or roles like teacher and student experiences, provide access to each role you want audited.
Test accounts should include realistic content, not just placeholder text. For example, if you're running an e-commerce site with an orders page, the test account should have sample orders we can review. We need to see what actual users would see, not just empty pages or walls of placeholder text holding the layout.
Every proposal is line-itemed so you'll see the exact cost breakdown for each service. Whether you're requesting a standalone audit or a VPAT/ACR, we still need to conduct the audit first to identify issues and generate the compliance report.
