What happens when childhood moves from playgrounds to pixels?
Maryam Alhakim, a passionate medical student, takes us on a journey to
explore this dramatic transformation. As screens become an inseparable
part of our lives, how are they shaping the minds and experiences of the
next generation? In this talk, Maryam dives into the effects of excessive
screen time on mental health, brain development, and human connection.
Drawing from her medical background and personal insights, she sheds
light on the hidden costs of technology and invites us to rethink how we
can reclaim the authentic joys of childhood in a digital age.. Maryam Rasheed Alhakim, a dedicated 5th-year medical student at the University of Duhok, with hands-on experience in clinical practice and healthcare. Beyond excelling in medical training and academic projects, her leadership and teamwork skills shine through various student-led initiatives. A passionate advocate for the surgical field, Maryam also channels creativity through sketching and writing, offering unique insights into the world around her.
