Soma Cosmos and Lyra 8 Dark Ambient

First attempt at pairing the Soma Cosmos and the Lyra 8. After some months of waiting, I was finally able to sell a couple of things and purchase a Cosmos from Europe.

All marketing pretensions aside, the Cosmos is a very creative delay effects unit with some beautiful algorithms and a surprisingly intuitive interface. Maybe the most accessible thing Soma has made.

Interestingly, Cosmos seems to pair best with traditional instruments (guitar, piano, tamer synth presets). Drone stuff can get really blurry and muddled, so this was a bit of a challenge with the Lyra. The Cosmos is on the Super Reverb setting. The suppression knob is used a good bit to work in new sounds and roll out older phrases.

I'd like to eventually post a full-length review of the Cosmos if people are interested. For those interested in Frippertronics or tape delay reels, this could ironically prove a more affordable option.
