Mont Saint-Michel is a spectacular tidal island commune in Normandy, France, renowned for its medieval monastery perched atop a rocky islet. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and attracts millions of visitors annually. to explore its unique architecture, including the abbey and the medieval village, and to witness the dramatic, highest tides in continental Europe.
Free buses are available daily from the town of Beauvoir to take you there and back and these run from 7:30 AM to 11:00 PM. Be aware you will have to pay for your days car parking if you drive in. There is a local campsite "Camping du Mont Saint Michel" nearby and it is best when visiting to go in early to avoid the crowds.
